Position Objective


production glue is seeking interns who are eager to contribute & learn from a forward-thinking organization with roots in event production & live events. These individuals should be proactive in seeking opportunities, building relationships, and gaining experience in a fast-paced team environment.  

General Responsibilities

Internships will vary depending on the focus of each applicants education, experience, and most importantly, interests.   This will affect the type of projects each intern will be assigned, the roles they will play, and the departments they will interact with most.  

 Captured below, is a partial list of general responsibilities that are common to any & all internships at glue (regardless of focus):

  • Research (project-specific, industry, community, etc)
  • Attend & document events for inspiration & future reference (glue projects, technology, arts & culture, NYC, sustainability, etc)
  • Participate in meetings & contribute to brainstorming sessions – capturing & distributing notes  (company-wide & project-specific)
  • Update internal databases & archives
  • Assist with assorted front desk responsibilities (greeting guests, accepting packages, taking messages, etc)
  • Become familiar with production glue’s capabilities & strengths, ensuring all work & behavior is representative of glue’s values & culture
  • Assist full-time staff in various aspects of the pre & post production process (vendor outreach, building presentations / client documents, and design development)  - carrying through to onsite role, supporting the production team & event in “all-hands-on-deck” scenarios

  Desired Traits

  • Ability to understand objectives, follow a timeline, and effectively meet deadlines for multiple tasks concurrently
  • A strong interest in live events & working with others – demonstrating an eagerness to grow as an individual, while contributing to the overall success of glue, its projects, and its staff
  • Strong interpersonal skills & confidence when engaging with others
  • Proactive in receiving feedback & discussing ways to improve future performance
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills

 Desired Skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, with understanding of presentation software (experience working in Keynote is a plus!)
  • Background in live events / production
  • Knowledge of NYC neighborhoods, venues, and trends doesn’t hurt!
